Currently, 1.5 Billion people live without access to electricity. Many of these live in rural areas disconnected from electric power grids. Because of the high infrastructure cost of grid extension, many rural communities are likely to remain in the dark unless alternative sustainable solutions are made available to them. Furthermore, in many countries, grid access offers only inconsistent, unreliable power with prolonged outages.
Soleil’s mini-grid solutions combining solar panels, batteries and diesel generator systems may be used to power villages or new construction complexes that would otherwise have to rely only on diesel power. We provide operations and maintenance to support our systems, which may be delivered outright or through power purchase agreements (PPAs).
