Ahpaly Coradin —
President and Chief Executive Officer
Ahpaly Coradin is the President, CEO and Co-Founder of Soleil Energy LLC. Ahpaly is an international corporate attorney with over 20 years experience in cross-border transactions, particularly in project development, project finance, mergers, and corporate governance. Ahpaly has represented institutional investors in oil and gas project finance, mining, telecom, renewable energy, and infrastructure development projects. He has had extensive dealings with foreign governments including in West Africa.
Prior to founding Soleil, Ahpaly has been the principal attorney of Coradin Law P.A., a boutique international law office in Miami. Ahpaly holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish with proficiency in Japanese, and has wide-ranging cultural knowledge and broad experience doing business across continents, including Africa.
Fernando Vigil —
Chief Technical Officer
For over 9 years, Fernando J. Vigil has specialized in the design, procurement, integration, monitoring and maintenance of stand-alone off-grid energy systems. He is the President and Founder of Industrial Consulting, Inc. (ISC), a solar systems provider with expertise in remote power systems for industrial users with extreme reliability demands. Fernando has provided systems for GE, Motorola, the US Army and the US Navy. Prior to founding ISC and joining Soleil, Fernando was lead PV Systems Engineer for Kyocera Solar, Inc. In addition to his expertise in off-grid systems, Fernando has extensive experience with commercial distribution design.
Fernando is an accredited Certified Solar PV Installer by ehe North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University and a Masters degree in Energy Systems Engineering with a concentration in Renewable Energy from Arizona State University.
Yacine Semichi —
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Yacine Semichi is the Vice President, CFO and Co-Founder of Soleil Energy LLC. Yacine has over 20 years experience in international capital markets, having worked out of London, Paris and Zurich. He has serviced institutional investors as well as hedge funds in mergers and acquisitions, IPO’s and special situations. Yacine’s approach combines a thorough scan of geopolitical implications into project and corporate risk premiums.
Yacine is a graduate of Essec Business School in Paris as well as an engineer of ISEP (Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris). He speaks English, French, Arabic and Italian.
David W. Wolfert Jr. —
Director of Engineering
David W. Wolfert Jr. has over 13 years of engineering experience designing breakthrough semiconductor devices, complex RF integrated circuits, and advanced photovoltaic systems. He has worked at KYOCERA Solar, Inc. for the past 5 years designing, commissioning, and servicing both grid-tied and hybrid off-grid photovoltaic systems for commercial and industrial applications. David is also in charge of project management and quality control. Some of his accomplishments and responsibilities include: project management and commissioning of the first Kyocera-owned solar systems across 3 Phoenix, AZ schools; design & commissioning of the largest commercial solar installation in El Salvador; winning design for the GE Transportation Systems (GETS) hybrid power system for positive train control; 50-100kW hybrid power systems powering critical telecom equipment for the UAE military, project management of 15+ systems totaling over 4MW; developing advanced failure analysis techniques and custom simulation programs for both hybrid and grid tied systems.
David holds numerous patents both pending and issued in the area of advanced semiconductor fabrication techniques and RF circuit design, as well as both a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University and is NABCEP certified.
